Synopsis

Inspired by a true story, the film portrays the “great escape” of 89-year-old Bernie Jordan who, on the 70^th  anniversary of the Normandy landings, “breaks out” from the retirement home where he lives with his wife to join other war veterans to commemorate their fallen comrades. The news spreads around the world and the veteran makes the front page.
